 On 16th August, Saturday, with regards to the Bulgarian miners professional holiday, 18th August, Chelopech Mining EAD organized an Open doors day. This is the first time the company welcomes on site families of employees, people from the local communities and media. The guests were shown around the mine, the rehabilitated areas as well as the process plant. They had a chance to see the basic production processes and the copper-gold concentrate. An interesting focus to the tour was a safety demonstration by the mine rescuers. A poster exhibition and a 3D presentation added to the various aspects of company business and its future plans. With very good organization, about 100 people took the opportunity and visited the site during the event. "I'm very much impressed with what I saw. Large capital investments are made.
